Bumthang Cultural Trekking Bhutan – 14 Days Overview

Experience the amazing culture of Bhutan through trekking and tour of Bhutan
The Bumthang trek in Bhutan is a cultural trek that takes you through villages and heritage sites in the valley of Bumthang area. The lovely Bumthang valley is the religious heartland of Bhutan and home to some of its oldest Buddhist temples and monasteries. Bumthang cultural trek passes through Choekhor and Tang valley, passing and visiting Bumthang’s remote villages, ancient temples and even a manor of Ugencholing.

Bumathang is relatively easy and a short trek, there is one day that involves a long climb and descends (about 500meters) to Phephe La (3360 meters). However, there is no significant altitude gain and your night halts are all below 3100 meters (10,100 feet) in Bhutan.

This three day Bumthang valley cultural trek passes through several villages on its meandering route through Bumthang countryside, and provides an exceptional opportunity for contact with Bhutanese rural life.
