Kilimanjaro Climbing via Lemosho Route Overview

The Lemosho route is one of the best routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It has beautiful scenery, few other climbers, and great opportunities to acclimatize to the altitude. The route starts on the western slope of the mountain and takes you through all the climate zones, from alpine meadows to eternal ice. The climb is smooth and gradual, and the success rate is very high.

The Lemosho Route is a relatively easy route to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a beautiful, quiet, and relatively easy route. The first few days of the climb are relatively flat, which gives you time to acclimatize to the altitude. The last few days of the climb are more challenging, as you reach higher altitudes.

The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the dry seasons, which are December to mid-March and June to October.

How difficult is the Lemosho Route?

The Lemosho route is considered as one of the easiest routes for Kilimanjaro climbing with longer itinerary allowing better acclimatization. No technical climbing skills are required but a good level of fitness is highly recommended as the hikers need to ascend the Barranco Wall and climb steeply to reach summit.
