Though a shorter one in duration Annapurna luxury trek is no less than any other treks of Nepal in terms of exotic Himalayan experience. Walking with along the beautiful mountain stream, spending time at the riverside watching the flow of the rushing river and feeling meditative contemplating the sound of water, breathtaking view of Himalayan peaks, taking bath in natural hot spring pool, staying in luxury lodges is a way of traveling in style.

Note: If you have less then 11 days the trek can be modified for 8 days also. You have the option of adding days in Pokhara or extending the trip to Chitwan national irk or go to stay at the Yoga retreat, do Himalayan white water river rafting, homestay or taking Nepali cooking class.
You will be welcomed by our representative on your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Later, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check into the hotel, freshen up, relax a bit or you can explore the vicinity until we meet in the evening for the trip briefing. The time for the briefing will be informed to you once you arrive at hotel.

After breakfast in the morning we go for the Kathmandu sightseeing tour. We are going to do the UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE TOUR today which includes: Swoyambhunath - The oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley, a beautiful abode for lots of monkeys thus also known as Monkey Temple, is also a perfect vantage point to see Kathmandu valley. Pashupatinath- A holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Hindu Crematorium, watch as the Hindu dead bodies are cremated in the most unique way in the world; we come across men with ash rubbed body, matted locks and dreaded look which is typical look of a Hindu Holy Men known as Sadhus. Boudhanath- the biggest Buddhist temple in the world; a site for Tibetan Buddhism where we can visit monasteries, watch the Holy Monks busy in their chanting ritual going around the temple. Patan Durbar Square- A Medieval Royal Palace area which is also known as the city of fine arts, we can see the finest example of metal and stone carving back to 14th century and also the amazing Nepali Architecture.

Take a short scenic flight to Pokhara after your breakfast. Meet the trekking crew in Pokhara, drive 1.5 hours to Nayapul and trek to Sanctuary Lodge. Enjoy the river side walk as you advance towards your luxury lodge today. Once you reach the lodge, spend a quiet, leisurely time enjoying the mountain serenity.

Start your about 5 hours walk today after breakfast. It’s an uphill hike all the way to your destination on a well stone paved trail so go slow on your own pace enjoying the Himalayan beauty. Experience some exotically rich mountain culture, scenery and weather. Once you reach your destination today, Ghandruk, you can see a magnificent view of mountain peaks of Fishtail, Annapurna South and some other beautiful mountains. Ghandruk is also rich in culture of the famous mountain tribe of Gurungs who have earned popularity as one of the Gurkha tribes.

Another beautiful trekking day in the mountains, you reach a beautiful mountain town of Jhinu today where you can experience a natural hot spring pool bath on the bank of a mountain river called Modi. You can experience some of the downhill and uphill trekking today through the village of the mountain people.

My wife and I had a great trek in the Annapurna region plus a couple of great days in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Rajan and his team at Earthbound were fantastic and were very accommodating with our many itinerary changes. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short a couple of days and even with that Rajan and team were tremendous in helping us change our plans last minute.
